Days after Kanye's VMA bombardment, many people have had plenty of things to say about his "drunken" speech (he was reportedly carrying around a half bottle of Hennessy & swiggin it on the red carpet & inside) in the middle of Taylor Swift winning her award. Here are some comments made about the incident from various celebs:

In the end, Kanye West apologized on The Jay Leno Show & even talked about wanting to go away for a while:

And that he did. He reportedly called Taylor up & apologized and she's accepted it .

And who could forget this humiliating moment for Lil Mama! I'm still too embarrassed to watch the performance again!!

2009 MTV VMAS HIGHLIGHTS

What's goin on world? What'd I miss??? I know I've been M.I.A but I'm slowly trying to catch up!




So the VMA's went down last night & boy were there highlights! Here are some of my favorites ones:

Very touching speech by Madonna who opened the show & of course Ms. Jackson killed the performance! Everyone was anticipating this moment, even Beyonce! Did you see how excited she got? Even so, it sounded like Janet's voice was put through a blender & 80 packs of ciggarettes, however her presence on stage was still felt! At the end of the performance, you can see her pointing up to Michael with tears in her eyes. She did not have to perform but she did as a tribute; a tribute which I thought could've been a whole lot better!!





The official trailer for MJ's This Is It documentary film also debuted & it gave me chills while I watched it last night & it's still givin me chills now that I'm seein it again! He still got it.:

Lady Gaga had an interesting performance. I get the artistism and all but. . .

People are saying she was renacting Princess Diana's death which was due to the papz. I don't see it though! But homegirl does have a voice. Sang it.

And here's what everyone's talkin about. One of the most memorable nights. Kanye turns into a crybaby yet again. I'm gettin real tired of his shannanigans! When 'Ye did that it wasn't even halfway through the show yet! Too early for nonsense man. Beyonce looks more pissed then happy for the support. Word has it that he was escorted out right after the incident with his bald chick Amber Rose, who was rockin a horrendous snakeskin bodysuit! Everyone was saying Kanye was drunk already, walking around & on the red carpet with a half drunken bottle of Hennessy. Lawddd. . . P.S I'm LMAO at Gaga's white wreath.




Anyway, after he was kicked out he took to his blog immediately & issued an apology:

So what was Taylor's response to the whole disaster?:

"Well, I was standing on stage because I was really excited because I had just won the award. And then I was really excited because Kanye West was on stage. And then I wasn't so excited anymore after that. I've been getting so many text messages and everybody's been really nice. So I've had a really, really fun night. It's been interesting definitely. I don't know him, and I've never met him, so… I don't want to start anything because I had a great night tonight."

Sucha sweetheart. Kanye defintely chose the wrong time to crash!





And last but not least. A move that has ended Lil Mama's career (?) as we know it:

At first I was like who's this trick hoppin on stage trying to get close to Jay-Z??? Beyonce must be so tight! Then I realized it was Z-Lister Lil Mama!!! Is this chick insane??? What was she thinkin comin on stage?! Nobody wanna see you! Move out the way bitch, we wanna see Hov & Alicia Keys, you know, real talented people!!! Didn't you get the clue when Jay tapped you on your leg?!! Shorty got too loose & now she looks like an idiot. Can't believe she even posed BBoy style at the end trying to be down with the crew. Ughhh my lawddd she looks like a troll next to those 2 superstars!



And what's worst, people are saying you can kinda hear in some audio clips Jay-Z telling Lil Mama“You’re T-paining right now”, in reference to what happened when T-Pain decided to hop on stage with Hov at HOT 97's SummerJam during D.O.A.

JACKSON UPDATES: JANET JACKSON PAY RESPECTS TO MICHAEL AT THE VMAS

This is what I was hoping & waiting for!!!

Extremely reliable sources are saying Miss Janet Jackson has been rehearsing vigorously for a surprise tribute to her brother for this year’s VMA’s!!!

The tribute is said to bring the house down & is being choreographed by some of the top dancers in the game! It'll feature at least 20 background dancers, all of who have been practicing non stop 15 hours a day!

This will truly be a performance to remember! BET just didn't do it right & it's now up to MTV and their VMA's to pay homage to MJ correctly.

****On another note, some of the names for the Michael Jackson Tribute concert goin down in Vienna, Austria have been released. So far we know the concert will include soul group Sister Sledge, Mary J. Blige, Natalie Cole & Chris Brown!

More names are expected to be released within the next few weeks.

If it were up to me, I'd say Breezy should be a part of that Janet Jackson MJ tribute too! Although, the gossip mill is saying MTV is quietly trying to exclude him from the VMA's since Rihanna will be in the buildin too but who knows!

I'll say this again, Chris Brown needs to be involved with anything & everything Michael Jackson.

TLC IS BACK

After a 7 year hiatus from performing in the U.S as TLC since the passing of their crazy & well loved sister Left Eye, the remaining members T-Boz & Chilli are set to perform at Justin Timberlake's benefit concert at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on October 17th.

DRAKE NEWS & AMERIKA'S MOST WANTED TOUR STALLED AGAIN!

Drake is still on that mixtape game!

He will be releasing a free mixtape called So Far Gone on September 15th. The disc will feature his massive hits Best I Ever Had and Successful, as well as a new song that will gel into his actual album called Thank Me Later.

Besides the mixtape, Drizzy also has an operation lined up for his knee from which he tore his ACL while playing basketball & then collapsing on stage during one of the tour stops on the Amerika's Most Wanted Music Festival.

Speaking of the festival, they're currently up north in Canada & word was spread that 2 stops on the tour have been canceled for unknown reasons.

Fans who had purchased tickets arrived at GM Place yesterday only to learn the concert had been canceled and tonight's show at Rexall Place in Alberta will be too!

Though the reasons remain unknown, sources are saying that one of the performers, quite possible Lil Wayne who has pending charges against him, was not allowed entry into Canada.

Nicki Minaj, one of Young Money's own who's also on tour, tweeted that authorities were searching 2 of their tour buses vigorously with canines and all!

This tour can't seem to catch a break! Although Canada has a history of having issues with American rappers entering their soil.

Young Money' reps put out a statement saying,

“Lil Wayne due to illness, was advised by his doctors to cancel the Young Money Presents America’s Most Wanted Festival tour stops in Western Canada,” the Cash Money imprint said in a statement. “The tour was scheduled to come through Vancouver and Edmonton on August 17 and 18. Wayne, his band and crew arrived in Canada with full intention of performing, but were forced to cancel the dates due to doctor-mandated rest. [The] Young Money Presents America’s Most Wanted Music Festival will continue their tour routing and extends an apology to the fans for the cancellation.”

Yeah okay.

MARIAH'S ALBUM PUSHED BACK

Mariah Carey has a string of performances she was set to do but now has cancelled. First it was the Today's Show, now it also includes the MTV VMA's and on top of that she's also cancelled receiving a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame!




Mariah Carey's camp stated that the reasoning behind all the the cancellations is because Mariah wants to make a solid album & give her fans the best music she possibly could.




Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel will no longer be released at the end of August as it was originally suppose to drop but will instead go toe to toe with Madonna's album on September 29th.

Teen queen Miley Cyrus is getting crapped on for her performance at the Teen Choice Awards last night because of photographs like this that are all over the blogs!

MAN ARRESTED THREATENED TO KILL THE CARTERS

Leon Desmond Barrett of Detroit, Michigan has been charged with threatening to kill Jay-Z and his wifey Beyonce!

In a complaint filed yesterday, Barrett had allegedly sent dozens of threatening letters with promises of doing violent acts to the couple between 2006 and 2009.

Crazy ass people!!!! What did they ever do to you?!

Here's a show on VH1 that doesn't suck, the networks Divas Live is back!



The concert this year will be held at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (I've seen many plays there growing up & my JHS graduation was held there. )

How'd it go from having Whitney Houston & Aretha Franklin at one point to this lousy cast??




The show will air live on Thursday, September 17th on VH1.

That's the first Divas Live concert ever & the best one by far! I recorded it on VHS when it aired haha. Needless to say, they've downgraded incredibly throughout the years. From the very first show with true divas to the current lineup.

NEYO RESPONDS TO HIS CONCERT BREAKDOWN

So the blogs have been going nutso with this footage of Neyo breaking down, all out crying, tears flowing the whole nine at his concert in Manchester, England. He first took the stage, walked off then walked back, only to just start bursting out in tears!! Here's the clip:








Those were some serious waterworks!



The R&B singer took the Global Grind to write a blog addressing the emotional break down and answers to the unmanly scrutiny he's received for his antics at the concert:

I'm currently on tour in the UK. This tour began right after a 4 month stint in Prague shooting a world war 2 movie. We're in a different city in a different part of the UK every night, moving non stop. Since my first album, roughly 5 years ago, I've taken 1 vacation, and even that was about 2 years ago.

Basically, I have an issue with not knowing when to say enough is enough, so last night in Manchester, my body said it for me.

I got on stage energized and ready to go, even tho for the last 5 days I've been dealing with a sinus infection. I paid it no real mind, and kept on going, like I always do. My voice couldn't take it. From the first song I knew something was wrong. I shoulda stopped there, but I come from a school where no matter what, the show must go on. It wasn't until about 4 songs in that I came to the painful realization that my voice was done, literally nothing left, and that I would have to stop the show.

Now let me explain something to you:

When I say this music, that stage, my fans, THIS is my life, I'm not saying it cause it sounds good in a sound bite. THIS IS MY LIFE!! Not much else matters to me, honestly.

My music, my family and the people that appreciate my music…..the fans. THAT'S ABOUT IT!!

I've never had to stop a show, never dreamed I'd ever have to. So when I had to walk out on that stage and tell 12,000 of the people responsible for making me who I am that I could not perform for them, it literally broke my heart.

I cried harder than I have in a very long time with no shame whatsoever.

To anyone out there that would like to question my manhood because of this I'll say this to you:

If the one thing you cared about more than anything else in the world was threatened or even taken from you, if you knew that the people you cared for the most you had to disappoint and it was your fault… and this didn't spark some kind of emotional outbreak within you…then with no shame I'll say you are truly a stronger man than I.

To the people of Manchester, know that I love you and I thank you for being so understanding and supportive. And I promise you that you will receive the show deserved.

LIL KIM SINGS

The celebration for Nelson Mandela's birthday went down at the famous Radio City Music Hall this past weekend in NYC. Artists like Alicia Keys and Queen Latifah all came out to show love to the hero. But one of the most memorable moments was when Lil Kim & 80's crazy girl Cyndi Lauper (Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, She-Bop) took the stage to sing a Time After Time/Lighters Up mix with Kim singing!






She sounded like crap in the beginning but I can't front, she hit some good notes here and there towards the middle; end. And whatever instrument Cyndi was playing she skilled it! I grew up on Cyndi Lauper music. Loves her!!

This whole The Game vs. Jay-Z thing won't go away because Game refuses to shuttup!


I was trying to find footage of him spitting a freestyle back to Jay-Z & I've found it!!!


This is at his latest show in Madrid, Spain. Listen to what he says, especially about Beyonce!!!

I thought he said he didn't take offense to what Jigga said? And did Bey really sleep with all those players?

WEEZY F. BABY, PLEASE DON'T. SUE ME

Lil Wayne has plenty of cash to throw around but I'm sure he prefers to spend his money on other things besides lawsuits!


Weezy is now being sued by the Red City Entertainment Company for $432,000 for a missing a show he was set to perform at in the Bahamas in 2008. The amount includes $210,000 they paid upfront, plus the hotel room & expenses for the concert.



The reason why he missed the gig??? A late flight? Contractual issues? Nope!


He was passed out in the hotel room. I'm assuming this was during the time he was addicted to cough syrup.



That purple juice can do that to a body. LOL

JAY-Z & THE GAME NEW BEEF

Jay-Z was at the The Palms in Vegas on Friday doing what he does best, performing in front of a massive crowd. But what's creating an uproar is a freestyle he spit, taking shots at a few people including west coast rapper The Game.

So, being pissed off about the subliminal message, the Game reacted by saying the following:

“Zoom in on this [toilet lid]. That say Roca. It’s like half of Jay-Z. So basically anything with the Roc in it, I take a sh*t on. You know what I’m saying? That’s a Roc-A-Fella toilet and I sh*t on it. Oh, a Roc-A-Fella a** splash toilet. You know what I’m saying? You know Roc-A-Fella got a couple of h*mo n*ggas, couple of suckers so, this is the a** splash toilet. Basically after they write them trash-a** a** raps, them n*ggas sit down and wash they booty off. Them n*ggas are dirty a** n*ggas with wack a** rhymes, man. It’s the Roc-a**-sh*t toilet. BET AWARDS 2009 RECAP

I'm sure everyone watched the BET Awards that went down yesterday. The channel paid homage to the great Michael Jackson, refining the whole show in a matter of days.



Well since that was the case, I guess the BET network gets a pass because if they took a month to plan out the event, they would have done a horrible job. But nonetheless, Michael was honored.



Overall, the show wasn't all that. It was just okay. I expected it to be the best of the best, one to go down in the history books but I was let down. Aside from the Michael tribute, there was nothing fabulous about it.


The performances were just okay, some were wack, nothing outstanding and the energy in the room seemed depleted. Why? I do not know. *shrugs



The only parts of the show that stood out to me or what I could remember off the top is Lebron James winning Sports Athlete of The Year, Tiny coming on stage to accept T.I's award but being unable to understand her because she was just plain ol' ghetto, Janet coming out on stage, New Edition's rendition of the Jackson 5, with Bobby Brown thinking he's back the 80's instead of coming to terms with who he really is now. Ummm did anything else happen??? lol The performances were that terrible that I can't even remember more then 3 of em! The Young Money crew closed the show and it was suppose to be a bang, but ended up more like a toot if you ask me. Jamie tried to keep the crowd hype troughout the night but it obviously wasn't working too well lol. He did his thing though.


Butttt, I'm not gonna totally hate on the whole thing, there were some memorable moments:





LMAO. To those who don't know, Sheneneh (Martin Lawrence) is an infamous character he played on his show Martin and Wanda (Jamie Foxx) was a character on the hilarious sketch comedy show I grew up on called In Living Color. I wish this was real! For a second I thought it could've been! Oh mah goooo'nesss.



Beyonce doing Ave Maria/Angel as a tribute to MJ. She looked stunning and made me tear when she sang the verse from Angel. She could have had me balling outta control if she decided to put photos of Mike on the jumbotron behind her though. There wouldn't be a dry eye in the room if she did!:





Now this right here had me crying, especially when the camera showed the audience's reactions to the song and once again, the photos of Michael in the background helped to bring it all together. Janet's surprise appearance and her speech made me feel her pain =(. She didn't say much, but that raw emotion and hurt is apparent. Makes me cry just watching this video again! It was beautifully sung:




Ohhh it's so emotional!! =(((


On the stupid side, the Jackson's crazy daddy Joe Jackson showed up to the awards show and did a red carpet interview with CNN. Is it me, or does he not seem saddened about his son's death? And why the hell is he plugging his new record label?????? Are you friggan kidding??? Some thing's just doesn't change!!!





What a loser!!!



And to end this off, I wasn't floored by Hov's performance of D.O.A at the show. Surprise surprise huh? Hey I could admit if a performance was bad! It could've been a lot better. When Jamie introduced him, the audience didn't seem that excited like they would've been if they were all from Brooklyn. I turned the TV off after the show ended and didn't know that his D.O.A Death of Autotune video premiered!! Well here it is.





What a don. I frickin loves it!!!!!
