According to the New York Post, former New Jersey Net star Richard Jefferson got cold feet and bailed on what was ready to be a posh Manhattan wedding at the 11th hour without letting his guests know!

The cold-footed forward's decision to ditch onetime Net dancer Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols was so last-minute that some of his oblivious friends had already shown up last Saturday at the swank Mandarin Oriental in Columbus Circle for the $2 million wedding that never happened.

Jefferson -- who was traded in June to the San Antonio Spurs -- dumped Nichols just before the weekend, according to sources.

That is so foul!!!!!

Joey Chestnut & Kobiyashi battled each other again in the most anticipated competition since the Pacquiao vs. Cotto fight was announced. The annual July 4th Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest went down at Coney Island in Brooklyn on Friday.




Chestnut came out victorious beating Kobiyashi in a record 68 hot dogs to 64!!



I feel like puking all of a sudden.




Congrats to Serena Williams for beating her sister Venus at the 2009 Wimbledon Women's Final Centre Court. This is her 11th grand slam title in her career ranking her at No. 2 in the world and establishes her as one of the greatest to ever play on a grass court. You go 'gal!

And congrats to Roger Federer who played against Andy Roddick in the longest fifth-set in Grand Slam history to claim his record 15th major!

This is Federer's sixth win in seven years surpassing tennis legend Pete Sampras who held the record with 14 majors and he still has many years left in his career to do more damage.

Sampras, along with his wife, actress Bridgette Wilson-Sampras, made a last-minute trip across the pond from California to watch the historic win. "I have to give it to him," Sampras said afterwards. "He's won all the majors. He's won 15 now. He's going to win a few more here. So in my book he is the greatest."

Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen & Doc Rivers all traveled to Rasheed Wallace's home to talk him into joining the Celtics squad.

And it worked!


Rasheed has agreed to sign with the Boston Celtics not as a starter but he will be KG's backup and will get minutes on the floor.

For the eighth time in 10 years, The Williams sisters will battle one another again in the final at Wimbledon — Venus for the eighth time and Serena for the fifth. And it's the fourth Williams-vs.-Williams final at the All England Club and eighth in a Grand Slam title match.



The match will take place on July 4th.

In the NBA, Ron Artest from the Houston Rockets is a free agent & has decided to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. Trevor Ariza, also a free agent may be going to the Rockets.


The Dallas Mavericks & New York Knicks were at a bidding war for Jason Kidd. However The Mavs may have gotten on top because they're offering him about $30 million for 3 years as oppose to the Knicks who can only offer 19 million for 3 years.


Okur and Boozer have decided to stay with the Utah Jazz, while Allen "The Answer" Iverson is in talks with the Memphis Grizzlies & Miami Heat and turkey Turkolu (gobble gobble) may be going to the Portland Trailblazers because the Orlando Magics couldn't offer him a better deal. But who cares, Vince Carter's a comin!



Perhaps the biggest contract right now is between Ben Gordon & Charlie Villanueva who are both signing on with the Detroit Pistons. Gordon is expected to get around $55 million for 5 years while Villanueva will see $42 million for the same amount of years.




Nothing is confirmed yet, this is all still up in the air since the free agency doesn't start until July 8th. Hang tight!

The has-been Spurs finally realized that they have no chance in winning a NBA title with a washed up team.

Andddd, to all those that don't know, Miguel Cotto Welterweight Champion and Manny Pacquiao, Pound for Pound champion are set to fight each other on November 19th.

LAKERS ARE THE 2009 NBA CHAMPIONS

The Los Angeles Lakers are the 2009 NBA Champions. They defeated the Orlando Magics and earned their win yesterday 99-86 in a 4-1 series.

Arguably the best player in the league, Kobe Bryant had 30 points, five assists, and four blocks. Kobe spoke about redeeming himself and his team after their loss last year in the finals to the Boston Celtics in a 39 point defecit, leading to Celtics' 2008 NBA Championship win.

Dwight Howard had little to cheer about but he is now mentioned in the same category with legends like Patrick Ewing and Kareem Abdul Jabbar for his efforts in the whole series and that in itself is a huge accomplishment.


Coach Phil Jackson can also be put into a record breaking category too. This is Jackson's 10th championship, tieing him for the most championships in a sport alongside Red Aurebach during his reign with the Boston Celtics.

Congratulations!! Kobe is the man, mang.

The Lakers and the Magics went at it again last night. Think they want it much???

Talk about a fight! And it was a sick, sick game.

The Lakers went on to beat Dwight Howard & his Magics with the final score 101-96.

They're now 2-0 in the series. Will Superman & his crew be able to catch up???
