The clothing line has sent a cease & desist letter to Beyonce & her camp to stop the production of her new perfume line because they've had a cologne out called Fierce for more than a decade and is worried consumers may confuse the two brands.

Let's see if that'll stop the Beyoncemania!

I don't think the type of audience Oprah has can truly appreciate his art. Just sayin. .

VIDEO LOOP:
Ruff Ryders are back!! Here's the official video for the Who's Real Remix (I know, it took forever) featuring all former members of the crew. Very nostaligic. Feels like it's 1998-99 again!:

Why does it look so damn low budget?

SNEAK PEAK AT OPRAH'S INTERVIEW WITH JAY-Z

Oprah's camp posted a snippet of what to expect in the October issue of The O Magazine where she went to visit Marcy Projects with Jay-Z:

At 13 he was selling crack. By 30 he was a hip-hop legend-having gone, in his words, "from grams to Grammys." Now Jay-Z charts his escape from the hard-knock life, describes the reunion that healed the wounds of his childhood- and even reveals the standing Sunday date he has with what's her name.

The complete interview will be available in the October 2009 issue of O, The Oprah Magazine, on newsstands September 15th. Get a first look here.

Oprah: So tell me how you got into the drug dealing.

Jay-Z: It was natural.…

Oprah: Because drug dealers were your role models. There wasn’t a teacher or a lawyer or a nurse or a doctor or an accountant in the neighborhood?

Jay-Z: Well, we were living in Marcy by then, so, no. And if anyone did become something like that, they moved out. They never came back to share the wisdom of how they made it. If anyone made it, you never knew it. That’s why I’ve always said that if I became successful, I’d come back here, grab somebody, and show him how it can be done.

Oprah: So by the time you were 13, this was a way of life. Did the lifestyle frighten you?

Jay-Z: No. It was normal. And at some point, you become addicted to the feeling. The uncertainty and adrenaline and danger of that lifestyle.

Oprah: This is where we differ. This is where we differ. Because I’d be very scared! Weren’t you shot at three times—within six feet—and you lived to talk about it?

Jay-Z: That was divine intervention. Divine intervention, and nobody knowing how to shoot.

Oprah: What happened in each situation?

Jay-Z: It was one situation, three shots.

Oprah: So he was a bad shot.

Jay-Z: Well, no one really practices shooting a TEC-9 machine gun, right? And when you’re a kid, with little bony arms—no wonder nobody could aim.

Oprah: Many of the little boys who grew up in the Marcy projects are either in jail or dead. Why do you think you got to grow up and buy your mom a house?

Jay-Z: There’s the gift, there’s the spirit, and there’s the work—all three have to come together. If one of those things is off, it can stop you from becoming who you were meant to be.

Oprah: When I met you a few years ago, we discussed our disagreement over the use of the N word and misogynist lyrics in rap music. Do you believe that using the N word is necessary?

Jay-Z: Nothing is necessary. It’s just become part of the way we communicate. My generation hasn’t had the same experience with that word that generations of people before us had. We weren’t so close to the pain. So in our way, we disarmed the word. We took the fire pin out of the grenade.

Jay talking about his wedding when you read the rest…

Oprah: Do you and BeyoncĂ© have a pact that you just won’t talk about each other?

Jay-Z: Yeah. When you’re a public person, you have to keep some things to yourself, or else people will just—

Oprah: Eat it up. I know. But can I ask how in the world you kept your wedding a secret?

Jay-Z: Late planning!

Oprah: How many people knew?

Jay-Z: Very few. The sad part is that we offended some. But people who love you understand. Because at the end of the day, it’s your day.

Oprah: So here we are, talking on a Sunday afternoon. If you weren’t sitting here with me, what would you be doing?

Jay-Z: I’m gonna get killed for this, but I’ll tell you anyway. There’s a great pizza spot we go to every Sunday. It’s our tradition. It’s a small place in Brooklyn, you can bring your own wine, and there are candles there. It’s a nice date.

A tech-9 in the hood. What else is new.

OPRAH TALKS JAY-Z & SALT-N-PEPA ARE BACK

Wendy Williams ended her long run on WBLS with her syndicated radio show The Wendy Williams Experience which can now be seen on FOX.

So who's taking over the coveted spot???

Rumor has it that Salt & Pepa will be taking over Wendy's slot as new radio hosts on a brand spankin' new show!

Will you listen??? Btw, Pep looks mega different with that tweaked nose. More soft now & less gully!

Movin on. . . .

Oprah visited Marcy Projects with Jay-Z the other day for an upcoming show. However, sources are saying now that the visit was not for The Oprah Winfrey Show but rather for The O Magazine. I hope she changes her mind!

Anyway, Oprah talked with her long time friend Gayle King on Gayle's radio show & had some wonderful things to say about our man Hov, including his great body odor:

Boy does somebody have a crush!

OPRAH IN BROOKLYN

No this isn't a scene for an upcoming movie or anything but instead bits & parts that are going to be used for The Oprah Winfrey show!

Oprah's ban on rappers for her talk show was put on hold for none other than Jay-Z.

Oprah went to the Marcy PJ's in Brooklyn to visit & film Jay-Z at his old stomping grounds. The days when sittin on the stoop of the building, hustlin' crack, drinkin 40's and smokin Lz while gun battling with the enemy next door was a normal day for the Brooklyn don.

However those were the old days & Hov has since turned up a new leaf. One of the highlights Oprah will be showcasing on the show are Jay's contributions back to his hood.

Rihanna and wifey Beyonce were said to be there too.

I'd like to see Oprah have 50 Cent on the show one day. Just a thought!

OPRAH IN A TRILLION DOLLAR LAWSUIT

Oprah is in some hot water over a lawsuit claiming that the big O plagiarized one of her books!

Author Damon Lloyd Goffe of the Bronx is suing Oprah and her production company Harpo, Inc.

In some documents, Goffe claims that in April of 2008, Oprah admitted to him that she stole the original works and published the first draft of it online called A Tome of Poetry under another title Pieces of My Soul.

And since Oprah sold over 650 million editions of the work on the internet at $20 a copy, Goffe believea he's owed $1.2 trillion dollars in damages.

Whoa boy. It can't be true! This is St. Oprah we're talkin about! She's widely known for her book selections!!!

CHRIS BROWN TO GO ON OPRAH

Word on the street is that Chris Brown's management is in talks to go on Oprah!

Oprah was an avid supporter of Rihanna's when the altercation first went down, dedicating a show to domestic violence with her famous line "He will hit you again!". It'll be exciting to see what she's gonna say to him!

Breezy's team is trying to work out the full details of the interview, telling Oprah that he won't speak on what happened but Oprah is standing firm that everything must be laid out on the table, no holds barred!

And so far Chris Brown looks like he's going to go along with it!
