SEPTEMBER 11TH, 2001

For all the lives lost on this tragic date 8 years ago, our hearts go out to the families & friends affected by 9/11 who lost their beloved ones caused by a cruel unimaginable act of cowardness; or by putting their lives on the line just so others can go home to their families safe & sound.

Here's a montage from Glenn Becks. . . . Listen in:

CLick to listen to "Glenn Becks' Montage"

The Brooklyn hero murdered his live concert at the Garden & I'm not just sayin just because!

Jay-Z rapped every lyric with a punch & delivered each song like he was a 10 man show ! He played hits after hits. Hits that the audience & viewers at home I'm sure weren't expecting him to do!!

He's solidified himself as one of the greatest of all time in my book.

Man!! Drinks. Maryjane & Hovi music. Couldn't have been better!!!!

NY HIP HOP IS ALIVE

If you're trying to go to the Jay-Z concert at MSG this Friday, you're out of luck & will have to watch it via the TV like the rest of us!

The tickets went on sale today at 8AM for $50 a pop & sold out within 12 minutes!!!

Raekwon the Chef's Only Built For Cuban Linx 2 is out in stores today the same day as Hov's & surprisingly, it beat BP3 for the #1 spot on iTunes!

Hip hop fans stand up!!

ANSWER THE CALL WITH JAY-Z

Jiggaman and his wifey Beyonce were on hand for the Blueprint 3 September 11th benefit concert for family and friends affected by the lost lives of our city's finest police and firefighting heroes at Madison Square Garden.

Press from all around the world was there, including NYC's Governor, important officials, Executive Vice President of Warner Music Group Kevin Liles and of course Jay-Z. Skip towards the last 3 minutes of the video to listen to Hov speak:

I hear because of all the leaked music recently, Jay is planning to add extra bonus tracks for the 9/11 release of BP3 and for a re-release slated for Christmas.

Get your earplugs ready!

JAY-Z SEPT. 11 CONCERT & ANOTHER LEAKED RECORD

To all the Hovian fans out there, it's already known that Jay-Z was planning to throw a benefit concert at Madison Square Garden in NYC on the day of his album release, September 11th.

New details have surfaced about the one night extravaganza & it's looking like it'll be an event everyone wants to see!

The concert is to help raise money for the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund who has distributed over $114 million to the families of police and firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

"This charity and concert encompass the true spirit of New York City," Jay-Z told AllHipHop in a statement. "We are asking everyone to 'answer the call' and support and honor the families of those that lost their lives in the line of duty. There was true camaraderie and resiliency that this city showed the world in 2001, and we continue that today by taking care of our own."

The concert will air live via Fuse Presents: Jay-Z Live from Madison Square Garden: Answer The Call on September 11 at 9:00 PM.

And this here is another leaked track produced by Timbaland again, off of Jiggaman's anticipated Blueprint 3 album called Reminder. Take a listen:

My favorite track I've heard by far!!!!!

Sounds like authentic Jay-Z if you ask me! And to the ones who'll be hating on his lyrics, he's not a young teenager anymore so what he has to say at the age of nearly 40, will be tremendously different from when he was 18.

Thank you, come again.

SASHA FIERCE BRINGS DOWN THE HOUSE AT MSG

Sasha Fierce was in the hizouse yesterday! Her voice echoed through the walls of Madison Square Garden and poured nto the streets of New York City.

Okay, maybe not quite like that. But Beyonce's performance, I hear, was spectacular!! A true entertainer at its finest!

She killed her performances with intricate dance moves, shiny designer outfits & a powerful voice, clearly letting people know why she's the queen of this R&B game!

Being that her hubby Jay-Z lives in NYC where she also resides, it only makes sense that she brought him out on stage to perform Crazy In Love, Deja Vu & Give It To Me.

I'm kinda feelin those gold maryjanes. You go mama.

Don't they make the best couple ever???? So powerful, so talented, so crazy in love. *sigh

A PUERTO RICAN WEEKEND

It was a Puerto Rican Weekend in NYC!

It was Puerto Rican Day today in NY and of course, every year, proud Puerto Ricans come out to the parade to celebrate their heritage all along 5th avenue. I'll have to update you all tomorrow on whether or not people got stabbed LOL. I'm just playing!

Yesterday however, proud Puerto Rock Miguel Cotto fought Joshua Clottey at Madison Square Garden, in what seemed to be the most brutal fight in a WBO Welterweight championship we've seen yet! With a huge gash right above his eye, Cotto won, with the decision being very close!

Miguel Cotto won because of the first round knockout he inflicted onto Clottey.

Look at that cut. Ay yi yi!
