New details have surfaced about the one night extravaganza & it's looking like it'll be an event everyone wants to see!
The concert is to help raise money for the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund who has distributed over $114 million to the families of police and firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
"This charity and concert encompass the true spirit of New York City," Jay-Z told AllHipHop in a statement. "We are asking everyone to 'answer the call' and support and honor the families of those that lost their lives in the line of duty. There was true camaraderie and resiliency that this city showed the world in 2001, and we continue that today by taking care of our own."
The concert will air live via Fuse Presents: Jay-Z Live from Madison Square Garden: Answer The Call on September 11 at 9:00 PM.

50 Cent has a mural worth of tattoos all over his back and his body but recently he's decided that he wants his pure, tattoo-free skin back by removing all the tats from his arms!
“I took some of the tattoos off because on the movie set, if we got a six o’clock call time, I have to be there two o’clock the night before,” 50 Cent told AllHipHop. “I gotta go through four hours of make up before we go ahead and play the role. So, I just took it off my arm. My right arm."
He has opted to keep the signature 50 Cent and Southside tattoos on his back.
And speaking of 50, word has it that he's planning to release the long anticipated Before I Self Destruct album on September 11th; the same day Jay-Z will be dropping Blueprint 3.
Rap wars here we go! He wants to take a shot again at these battle sales. Did 50 forget what happened when he tried to do that with Kanye?
The rapper joins his wife Beyonce, as well as Kanye West, the Dream, Maxwell, Ne-Yo and others on the performance roster. Jamie Foxx will be hosting the event.
Jay-Z also spoke about his upcoming album Blueprint 3 being released on September 11th, which is the anniversary of his first Blueprint album.
He told Angie Martinez on HOT 97 in NY, "“It’s the date the first one came out and it was a horrible date in our history. I have a wonderful idea for a show, proceeds are gonna go to charity. You know, just bring it full circle. I have a historic venue in mind, I’m gonna bring some artists out. It’s gonna be big.”
