NEW YORK POST WRITES MRS. JAY-Z IS NO SONGWRITER

The New York Post has an article questioning Beyonce's credibility when it comes to writing her "songs".

There's been plenty speculation over the years of Beyonce & manager/father Matthew Knowles buying the rights to songs by other people in a hefty amount just so B could have her name writer underneath the credits as songwriter.

Here's the article in the New York Post where they talk about her songwriting on her I Am . . . Sasha Fierce album:

Ms. Jay-Z has been called out by two different R&B ladies for not writing songs she claims are hers. According to Rap-Up magazine, Chrisette Michele revealed that Beyonce’s hit single “Ego” was originally meant for her own album “Epiphany” but she decided to hand it over to the Queen B. And here is the shady part: The track is credited to producer Elvis Williams, Beyonce Knowles and Harold Lilly … not vocal Goddess Chrisette. (Update: Beyonce was not mentioned by Christette as a writter on “Ego” when offered the song, which she turned down but did not write).

The day before that story broke, a video blog post (I think the kids are calling them vlogs, who the hell knows) by Destiny’s Child ex-member Michelle Williams and producer Rico Love was published as well. The two discussed the songwriting and production surrounding Michelle’s “Unexpected” LP, which seemed super normal. Until they brought up Beyonce’s “Sweet Dreams” track and various other songs that Rico wrote for her “I Am … Sasha Fierce” album.

Rico said to Michelle, “I did ‘Radio’ and ‘Scared Of Lonely,’ but I co-wrote ‘Scared Of Lonely’ with Solange, Lashawn Daniels, and Crystile.” Wait … you didn’t say Beyonce, Rico? But ASCAP has her name on the song’s credits. You little sneaky wig-wearing diva. All it takes is a few measly scraps of your millions, and these folks are happy to give you a good track.

Say it ain't so! You stood apart from all the other female singers in the industry as far as lyrics because you wrote them. Or now supposedly wrote them.

I do remember that story about her paying off some lady for the rights to If I Were A Boy which included a promised duet with the person when they create their own album.

Oh no B!

Beyonce's alter ego Sasha Fierce will be coming to a department store near you!

The superstar's House of Dereon are creating a back-to-school line which includes sportswear, accessories, shoes, etc at affordable prices. The Sasha Fierce for Dereon will be sold in Macy's & Dillards this fall.

Cute. I'm diggin that dress.

Jay-Z's Roc Nation Label has finally found a home.

The Roc Nation is a deal with Sony and also is in part with Atlantic Records.

“Sony is Roc Nation. That’s where Roc Nation’s going through,” said Jay-Z.

Jay-Z told Billboard he attempted to throw the idea of Roc Nation out to his previous label close to 4 years ago but no one was interested in his enterpenurship ways and just wanted him to release a record.

Sucks for them.

SASHA FIERCE BRINGS DOWN THE HOUSE AT MSG

Sasha Fierce was in the hizouse yesterday! Her voice echoed through the walls of Madison Square Garden and poured nto the streets of New York City.

Okay, maybe not quite like that. But Beyonce's performance, I hear, was spectacular!! A true entertainer at its finest!

She killed her performances with intricate dance moves, shiny designer outfits & a powerful voice, clearly letting people know why she's the queen of this R&B game!

Being that her hubby Jay-Z lives in NYC where she also resides, it only makes sense that she brought him out on stage to perform Crazy In Love, Deja Vu & Give It To Me.

I'm kinda feelin those gold maryjanes. You go mama.

Don't they make the best couple ever???? So powerful, so talented, so crazy in love. *sigh
