THE WIRE COMES TO LIFE FOR MARLO

Jamie Hector who played druglord Marlo Stanfield on the hit show The Wire saw his character's life turn into reality in Brooklyn yesterday!

And more appropriately, the incident occurred at his wife's baby shower!

At a baby shower?!?!!

According to the NY Daily News a made-for-tv gun battle erupted outside a Brooklyn baby shower for the wife of a star of the HBO crime series “The Wire” yesterday, killing one teen and wounding two men, cops said.

Gunmen unloaded nearly 50 bullets outside the party near Avenue B and the 90's & then tried to finish off one of the wounded men outside a hospital!

“What a gun battle,” a police source told the NY Daily News. “They have been watching too much TV.”

DamnNnnnnNnnn! The shooters tried to merk the guy as he was being carried into the hospital?!??!? I don't think even Marlo could've handled this situation.

Man, only in the Brookna.

LIL WAYNE HIRES THE FBI

Hey when you're dealing with forensics, why not call on a FBI scientist?!

Lil Wayne has hired former FBI geneticist Bruce Budowle in an attempt to avoid doing any jail time for his New York gun charge in which cops found a .40 Caliber on his tour bus following his performance with Ja Rule as The Beacon Theater July of 2007.

According to The New York Post, Budowle will argue that Manhattan prosecutors used an unreliable testing method in their attempt to link Lil Wayne’s DNA to the gun, which Weezy's lawyers say is legally registered to his manager Cortez Bryant.

Lil Wayne has pleaded not guilty to 2 felony charges of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. If he's convicted, he faces up to three and half years in prison under the New York gun laws.

Didn't the officer who searched Weezy's tour bus & found the gun claim to have smelled marijuana coming from inside when she was a block away???

That musta been some potent ass weed!!

RIHANNA BEING INVESTIGATED FOR TATTOOING PEOPLE

Rihanna visited the East Side Ink in the Village on Wednesday night and ending up tattooing some of the artists there! Seems harmless right??? Wrong.

The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene caught wind of this and confirmed to MTV News yesterday that someone has been sent to the tattoo parlor to investigate the incident. Why you say???

Because it's illegal.

In a statement, the department said, "Only licensed tattoo artists can administer tattoos in the city according to the City's Health Code. We are sending someone to follow up on this."

TMZ reported that if the department decides to press charges against the pop star for tattooing someone without a license, she could face three misdemeanors, with penalties as much as $300 for the first offense, $500 for the second and $1,000 for the third offense. East Side Ink could be facing fines as well if an investigation is opened.

Earlier yesterday, MTV News spoke to East Side Ink owner Yadira, who said that Rihanna hadn't visited East Side with the intention of inking her long-time tattoo artist, BangBang, as well as two other artists at the parlor. Rihanna was there with a few friends and a bodyguard for "a few hours, just hanging out and joking," she said, and BangBang decided that he wanted the pop star to give him a tattoo. Yadira added, "We had a blast. It was so funny and cute."

Not cute anymore if she'll get charged for it!

FOXY BROWN GOT SPECIAL TREATMENT WHILE IN JAIL???

People are fuming over the fact that Brooklyn rapper Foxy Brown may have gotten special treatment while incarcerated at Riker's Island for violating her probation in several high profile assault cases in 2006, unlike her rap mate/rival Lil Kim!

The New York Corrections Department has finally issued a statement addressing the issue and denied that she received preferential treatment while in jail.

The New York Post reported first that prison officials hung out in Foxy's cell, brought her meals and make up, gave her unlimited TV and phone privileges and even let a photo shoot for XXL magazine happen while she was serving nine months at Riker's .

Department Spokesman Stephen Morello responded, "Inmates were entitled to wear their own clothing. That's her choice. The interviews were approved by the (Department of Correction's) Department of Media Services. We do it as a matter of routine."

She lucked out being able to wear her Fendi scarves and Versace shades. Can't be mad. But it definitely ain't right!
