The Wiz has come to Broadway!
To those who've been living underneath a rock their whole lives & don't know what The Wiz is, the movie is a R&B adaptation of the original film The Wizard of Oz. The Wiz starred the incomprabable Diana Ross, Richard Pryor who basically created comedy and the legend Michael Jackson. If you haven't seen it, rent it! You'll fall in love.
Anyhoo, Ashanti was chosen to play the lead character Dorothy on the Broadway stage. Heres a clip from her singing the famous song "Home". I never really thought she had a voice but I might have to take that back after listening to this clip:
Here's a little tidbit though. The tickets for the show hasn't been selling good so go help her out and ease on down, ease on down down to.. ticketmaster!
